Hi Ron, The Reader's Digest two volume "Illustrated Encyclopedic Dictionary" defines "kudos" as "Acclaim or prestige as a result of achievement or position. (Originally British university slang, from Greek kudos , glory, fame)". In other words, congratulations on an achievement such as your finding this very nice watch.
