much controversy and debate about spending on [expensive] watches and -- even worse -- collecting them; all aspects of the issue being explored: political, economic, social, psychological, cultural; etc.

maybe those who are commenting are right; maybe this horological hobby is a big mistake . . . anybody wanna buy a few dozen [expensive] watches?
