Re: Aged to Perfection
In Response To: Aged to Perfection ()

Jeff, thanks for your statement and the warm welcome here. I agree 100% with you: A vintage watch should not look like new, it is the lovely color of vintage tritium, the slight discoloration and patina of a dial that makes a vintage watch so special. That is the reason why I like this one that much - it shows perfect "vintage colors" to me.

regards, christoph

: First of all, welcome to our forum. It's always great to have the
: new participants, and it amazes me that we have some many people
: who read on a regular basis, without coming forward to post
: messages. Of course, this is absolutely fine, but it is always
: fun when a reader becomes a writer.

: You wrote, "It is not a perfect one, but it has
: "character" . . . ". I believe that it is the
: "imperfections", the beautiful aging of the lume, that
: actually make these so special and give them their unique
: character. Personally, if given the coice between NOS and
: well-aged, I will usually prefer the look of the well-aged
: sample. Yours has the beautiful lume on the dial and hands.
: Perfection, to my eye!!

: So welcome aboard, thanks for sharing this beautiful Monaco, and we
: will look forward to your further participation here.

: Jeff
