Chaps some good info here, from my memory the 4th letter of the number denotes the dial colour, 0=black, 1-lumi, 6=blue, 9=red, unsure of the others from memory, i have never understood the "N" or the "L" on the end of the number.

My 980.023N has a 955.114 movement early nineties.
