From what I can tell, the serial numbering is in bands for quite some time, with numbers being skipped - and quite significantly, the increase in number year on year is often clearly greater than Heuer's annual production. Later, however, they do seem to start using every (or nearly every) number available, and the yearly increase is about as expected. The latter might coincide with the later of the two Autavias, more or less.
