I'm sure they tried to do this whenever possible, but there are some models where it is possible to see discrete production runs from some of the dial detailing. And in those cases they seem to have used the more readily available dials as the replacements. Which makes perfect sense to me.

Certainly with some Carreras, can't speak for the Monacos.
