Ouch - to think about this makes my head spin
In Response To: The Perfect Watch ()

Hi Mark,
i would have to start with saying that its a matter of personal taste and style. Although many of us here have found common ground in our love of Heuer watches there is still a world of differences in which happens to be our "Perfect" watch. There are so many variations in size, movement, era, colour, form etc. that its difficult to pin down exactly what my perfect watch is.
I can however tell you that, as the lucky owner of a cross section of Heuer's, there are some models that i keep returning to to wear, they are the Monaco and Autavia automatic watches. When it comes down to the one i wear most it really is split between these 2 watches -
a beautiful Cal.11 Siffert Autavia

and this classic production 1133B Monaco

at the end of the day its the Monaco which i think is the model that still brings the biggest smile to my face.
Hope this inspires you - all the best - Darren

-: Apologies, it is a question, not a statement.
: Having just read Jeff's review of his Tag Heuer Carrera 1887 this
: question came to mind.
: I'd love to hear what other members thoughts were as to their
: Perfect Watch, THAT THEY OWN and their reason for this. One
: Heuer and one non-Heuer would be great, but hey, I'm a no rules
: type of poster.
: As I have only one Heuer, for me it would be my Heuer Autavia 11630
: MH (Argentine Air Force Insignia). Other than Heuer, it would be
: my Omega Speedmaster Pro. It is so simply beautiful, that one
: design (pretty well) has lasted over 50 years and its reputation
: is up their with the best.
: Would love to hear others input on this.
: regards
: mark
