As far as I can see from the photo, the strap is neither selvedged nor denim! But I can see why you would try it out as it was sent to you.

And maybe it hasn't crossed the Atlantic, this fashion for colourful NATOs. One in a nice military drab on an issued watch, yes, but a Siffert is a watch where you let the dial do the work and the strap or bracelet quietly complements it. So glad to see it back on the strap. Wear it in good health.
