Looks all kinds of wrong. Maybe the dial was original at some point, but it looks like the date window wasn't part of the dial - recently cut maybe.

: Can I ask the forum's expert guidance? I met a new vintage watch
: dealer who has just opened the first such store in Dubai - a
: charming guy and I hope he has lots of success. He had two
: Heuers - a 1940s Chrono with a (as he told me) refinished dial
: and this one.

: Looks to me like a franken in a Camaro case - but what is the
: expert view? He was disappointed when I raised my concerns and
: stressed that he wants to be honest and open, so I hope I am
: wrong. Crown was signed, hands look all wrong and is the face a
: fake or from an older watch? He says the movement is signed
: Heuer Leonidas 7734.

: Any expert input greatfully received and will be passed on to the
: dealer. Thanks All.
