Kaplans vs Antiquorum/bonhams/Sotheby's ?

Kaplans : local (I presume) auction house, not very famous (not to me anyway)........

... but they seem to be able to have more than just a head shot photo in their description of the watch, and even have photos of the movement. Their descriptions also use English words in their everyday usage: for example - "damaged dial" means "damaged dial".

Antiquorum/Bonhams/Sotheby's : world famous, global presence, and seen as the reference by the industry........

.....however, they cant be bothered with anything but a head shot, unless maybe the watch will go for more than $1m. Their descriptions use a special version of English where words have different meanings : for example "Good" means "pretty mediocre condition" and "fair" means "rubbish condition".

Then again, I probably just don't understand the auction business.....
