Re: Driver Wearing "Orange Boy" or Art Department Playing

A real find on philological Heuer!

Great!
About Orange Boy, I find this 1163 White Orange boy (now in restoring) with white matt dial and orange stripe hands.
Have you ever seen another like this?

: In 1972, I don't believe that any of the Caliber 12 Autavias had
: the "stripes" on the hour recorder, with one notable
: exception . . . the one we call the "Orange Boy".

: I have a theory that the Orange Boy was actually produced before
: the time of the Viceroy promotion, so this photo may support
: that theory. Either this driver was wearing an "Orange
: Boy" or the art department that worked on the ad took some
: liberties (in the era before PhotoShop).
