The Cal 12 was a continuation / adaptation of the Cal 11. When we prepared the Reference Tables, we referred to both the Cal 11 and the Cal 12 as being the "Cal 11" (because this was the original movement / base of the movement). In the models that used both movements -- for example, the 1163 Autavias -- it is impossible to know exactly when Heuer switched from the Cal 11 to the Cal 12.

You will notice that Heuer used the same convention in its numbering scheme. The reference numbers for the Daytona, Jarama, Verona, Monza, etc. all begin with the numbers "11", but these chronos never used the Cal 11.

This has been a source of continuing confusion, and we will undertake to correct / clarify the Reference Tables.
