Here's another topic that we keep coming back to: Am I correct that current prices, at least for the good pieces, have made another move and are through the roof again?
As a collector, how do you feel about this?
- Have you seen this same move, over the past few months?
- Are you tempted to sell some "untouchable" pieces?
- Are you concerned that if you sell a particular piece, you will never have the chance to own another of this model?
- Who can we blame for this? Arno? The Rolex collectors, looking for the fun, inexpensive watches?
- Is this good news / bad news / no news?
- How is Heuer comparing with other vintage watches, in the current market?
- Are there Heuers that remain sleepers, but are poised for the next move?
- Any other thoughts to share?
This discussion is triggered by a couple of messages, from respected dealers, telling me that there is strong demand, and that they can "name their prices" for the Heuers. There is unprecedented "demand"; they simply cannot find the "supply", at least for the best pieces.
Maybe we have this discussion once per year, no matter what the market is doing!!
