Thanks very much for all your insightful information. I will see what TAG recommends and if they aren't able/willing to do as I ask then I will ask for them to return my watch and will use Mr. Able Court for his expertise.

I have a good idea of what I will do with everything except the blue seconds hand. I would like for this to be in good condition. Should this be replaced but the original returned to me? Or is this one part where it's OK to repaint? I think I would prefer this hand to be beautiful and blue rather than scratched like now but don't want to do something that can't be "undone" later.
