Re: Interesting Posting: Luxury Watches as Male Status Symbo

To be honest, in my opinion collecting vintage Heuers is not at all a matter of showing status (which could be much more easily shown in many other ways, i.e. these XXXL luxury watches that are sold today and many more people know) but a matter of respect and admiration for these pieces.

: Lol... Let's put it this way... Watches to us are like (shoes,
: diamonds, purses, etc...) to women. I feel that watches do
: symbolize a male status... I've been in situations where a guy
: would look at my Heuer and say wow looks expensive how much do
: you make? lol

: So, I agree somewhat with the article... My wife sometimes
: complains on why I have so many watches... but then I think why
: do you have so many shoes, pendants, jewelries, etc... you have
: more than I do when you count them up and each year you buy 4-6
: pairs of fancy shoes and I'm lucky to get 1 or 2 watches on a
: given year ;-) If you're reading this honey, I still love you.
