My guess is the bezel insert is after market. Its sits deeper than it should with a lip to the outer edge. On mine the bezel is flush with the bezel case and this is clearly shown on Lanny’s example. The value of a GMT is in the condition of the bezel as much as anything and getting a correct replacement will be quite a task.
