Re: Which are the Valjoux 72 Guys?
In Response To: Which are the Valjoux 72 Guys? ()

All of them are. The "fat hands" are from mid to late 1960s, I believe, and they are invariably on Valjoux 72 powered machines. Incidentally, the internal code for the movement in UG caliber 85.

A couple from the collection

Time to plug Pietro Giuliano Sala's Universal Geneve (http://www.librouniversal.it/). It is restricted to the chronographs with "in-house" movements (so these V72 models are left out), but as far as it goes, it is one of the best watch books out there. Not cheap however.

: Of the line-up that I posted yesterday, can you tell me which are
: the V72 powered guys? I assume that these came after the supply
: of in-house movements dried up?

: Also, correct to assume that the squared needles / hands on the
: chronograph recorders are "later"? Any idea how late?

: Thanks,

: Jeff
