The pin holes are too close to the case *PIC*

Though, I can attach the strap, the spring bar pins slide into the corresponding holes. But the sharp edge of the case distresses the band at the sides. Curved spring bars might increase the distance in the unproblematic middle area but won't help near the lugs.

I would really appreciate any suggestion to solve this problem (no modification of the case, please). I want to wear the watch on this strap instead of only staring at this great combination.
