The spring bars I used are 1.8 mm in diameter. Coming Sunday I will have the opportunity to try bars with 1.3 mm diameter. I did find bars 0.9 mm thin, but not in 21 mm width. I do not dare to bend these, they seem to be very fragile.

This solution will contribute 0.25 mm to the distance between strap and case.
