Hi Stewart, having worked on the Diver master reference table with you I also find this rather intriguing. When you get involved in setting up these tables the reference numbers take on some real meaning so I doubt there are many others out there who share this oddity like we would. All the quartz driven 1000 series Divers have reference numbers starting 98 except for the 1st execution 844/0 and as you say, the 112 suffix is also absent from our table. My first thought was a possible misprint i.e. a 3 instead of an 8 but the suffix seems to eliminate that theory. We will have to keep our eyes open for a second one which may give further clues and backup your theory that this was a very late Heuer diver with a totally new reference number for the same watch. Nice watch anyway.
