Your guess is a couple of decades out! The watch is from some time in the 1940s.

I presume it's gold plate or gold filled rather than solid gold? In that case, it would be a 342, similar to one of the steel 333s in this catalogue:

There are a variety of dials in these, but the brass nubs and 6 and 12 markers are pretty constant, although the numerals come in a couple of different styles. I believe the movement should be a Valjoux 22, but I don't have one myself to check.
