Jeff, this really is a fascinating bit of info. Its amazing to think that Heuer was so approachable at that time, and so flexible. These watches really were tool watches first and foremost and clearly that was the key criteria for the company.

It also shows, I think, the relative scale of the business then compared to now. I cannot imagine anything like this could happen today, with, I imagine, only aesthetic considerations fed back from the boutiques as the company considers new models and variants.
