We came to a conclusion that there must be an Audi accessories catalogue from 1983. If we can find one of these we can shed a bit more light on it. My hunch is it was in this catalogue just as watches & other bits are in the current catalogue. The ones that were left were given out as incentives for best salesman etc etc. It was obviously a niche market given the fact most people in the 80,s didnt have Audi cars so would,nt have bought an Audi watch especially if it was only on sale in the showroom where not many of the working public would venture
