How can an article like that get past the editorial team?
In Response To: What's Wrong in This Article? ()

Oh dear me.. like a good ol' watch geek, I was going to list the errors, but I can't be bothered, the entire article is riddled with errors.
It's not like you have to know anything about watches to see that it's completely inaccurate. I mean, come on.. the photo show Obama wearing a black dialed watch, probably not a TAG Heuer (??), and they picture a white dialed watch, with clearly says Carrera on the dial, then they say he wears an Aquaracer similar to the one pictured - what!?!... and I haven't checked, but an Aquaracer surely doesn't cost 15 grand.
This isn't nit-picking the finer details of watches, this is just ludicrous inaccuracies.

It's akin to doing a piece on Steve McQueen's old 911 and accompanied by a photo of a Cayenne.

: Here in the US, there is a children's magazine called
: "Highlights", and one if its features is called
: "What's Wrong"? The idea is to look at an
: illustration, and see how many things you can find wrong in the
: picture. For example, we see a unicycle with a square tire, a
: balloon flying below its string, a dog wearing fire boots, etc.,
: etc.

: I thought that it might be interesting to review a short article in
: a respected US magazine, Town & Country, to see how many
: errors we can find in the article. For these purposes, I am
: focusing only on the information and photo of President Obama,
: as I have not yet studied Mitt Romney's watches. I mean, in this
: day and age, how difficult would it be to check the facts and
: get them right??

: Enjoy the game!!
