The Greatest Vintage Heuer of them all

As someone said, opinions of the Silverstone are polarised.

Personally, I love the Silverstone, and if I had to choose to only wear one vintage Heuer for the rest of my life, it would be the blue Silverstone. The Red and Fume are very cool as well.

I know the Carrera and Autavias are the true classic Heuers, but they are not that unique; there are some nice Zeniths that are pretty close to Carreras, and there are cool Breitlings and R*lexes that are close to Autavias. The Monaco is a true icon, but there are quite alot of Monaco inspired watches around (hello B&R), not to mention the hundreds of different Monaco reissue models that TAG-Heuer released, so the uniqueness of the Monaco has been diminished.

But it is not really an intellectual argument, you either think they are the ultimate early 1970s cool, or you think they are an weird lump. Maybe it's this polarisation that attracts me to the Silverstone!
