Re: Safe shipping ?

Hi Steve

No matter how well insured, when the watch is gone, the amount of money is only a small consolation. I've lost the Siffert Nr 141.888 with FedEx. I recommend to ask whether watches are insured . Don't make the package too small. Larger packages don't disappear as easily as little ones. If the unpacking takes long a theft during transportation is more difficult. I know what I'm saying, recently I got an empty opened Package, the Omega braclet 7077 was gone. the box was taped afterwards by carrier company, but empty. Prefer multiple boxes into each other and outside no indication of the contents. A sender such as jewellers, watchmakers, so... should not be written on the outside. Also wenn parcel ist a little heavier than only with a watch, I think it is better......there are profesionals on the way, they take a parcel, look at it and know what can be in it....

best
michael
