I watched one recent auction of such a Solunagraph (in the box, with papers). I believe that the price was in the $1900 to $2000 range.

So perhaps your seller is either the person who won that auction, and now decides to sell, or maybe your seller also watched that auction.

Heuer Mareographe at $1400 would be a real bargain.
