Looking Forward to the TAG Heuer / Nissan Partnership
In Response To: FIA-WEC ()

Yes, TAG Heuer is now sponsoring the Nissan NISMO team in endurance racing, to include the 24 Hours of Le Mans, etc. You can read the announcement on TAG Heuer’s website. This is a very exciting development for TAG Heuer and Nissan.

Last night was the Super Bowl, here in America, the championship of professional football. Of course, there is often as much excitement about the Super Bowl commercials as there is about the game itself, with the price for a 30 second commercial running over $4.0 million.

Nissan ran a 90 second commercial during the Super Bowl, to introduce its brand new GT-R LM NISMO, as well as the new Maxima (shown at the very end of the commercial). Heuer enthusiasts were excited to see the TAG Heuer logo on their television screens, even if it was only for a fraction of a second. Here is a screen shot, from Nissan’s Super Bowl commercial . . .

Here are some images of the car released by TAG Heuer . . .

Finally, here is the Super Bowl commercial, which I thought was very well done.

I’m really looking forward to this new relationship for TAG Heuer. It seems consistent with both the motorsports heritage of the TAG Heuer brand and the Don’t Crack Under Pressure campaign.
