Thanks James, I admire the Eterna Kontikis but I don't know much about them so you're post was interesting.

It is interesting to see a mil engraving on a known model used by the IDF which also doesn't look like it was made with a rotary tool.

So maybe there are other styles of engraving. I have mainly studied IDF Autavias from the 70s and 80s, which have consistent engraving made with a rotary bit.

With this new info, maybe the Autavia on eBay is valid, it's certainly more questionable for me than before. That's the great thing with Heuers we are always learning new things - and why I tried not to be too categorical in my first post, just to present the "contra" arguments.

Any other views out there?
