Re: Heuer '1550' Bundeswehr Chrono

: Hello.

: The H3, small t are the early and not the later dials and of course
: you can find Valjoux 23 signs, because it is a Valjoux 23, a
: Valjoux 23 with flyback function(mean, that the original safety
: was demounted) and for this the name is Valjoux 230!
: Look at the hack function, because often the hack function become
: victim of a bad revision and you can imagine, what else happend
: if they are not able to keep the main functions alive...
: To find a 1550 with all original is nearly impossible, because it
: was a tool watch in a federal life!

Hello FD,

Thanks for your reply and points. I thought it's likely an early one, from the dial. Do the numerals/lume look OK and original to you?
So, it probably has a modified Val. 23, which is a 230, if I understand you correctly? I checked all the chrono functions start/stop/return, and they are fine. It winds well, too. The hack function also works correctly when you pull the winding crown out. It all seemed fine to me, from a functional point of view.

Any comments regarding the immaculate bezel, and the dial/numerals would be welcome, thanks.

I may well proceed with this if it gets the thumbs-up from the experts here!

Thanks again,

Karl
