"Original conditions" is the new black?
In Response To: Best no longer means perfect! ()

From my limited knowledge of a few brands - and no knowledge at all of vintage cars and gold Rolexes - I surely subscribe to Paolo's view.
We've been seeing it here as well, people are just stating how unpolished the watch is, original the tritium etc.
This also seem to apply to lesser known and lesser valued brands such as Sinn, which I've been a lot into lately.
Sympathetic restoration may still be an option for a day-beater, but seems to be a no-no for most other cases as long as the watch is mechanically working properly.
I see it partly different, having no issues at all with a well-done, time-consistent restoration, but I am aware of being in a minority now.
Kind regards,
Fabrizio
