vintage Heuer chrono PVD - advice and help *PIC*

Hi there,

i recently purchased this watch from a well known auctioneer and it arrived yesterday. I wanted to buy an affordable Heuer and like the stealthy look!
It described as a PVD COATED HEUER CHRONOGRAPH BRACELET WATCH CIRCA 1980s and has a Valjoux calibre 7765.

I've noticed that whilst the movement is described as 'Working at present' which does all seem fine-- however the minute chrono register moves but on reset does
not set to zero. So my questions

1) Can anyone tell me a little more about this model and perhaps how I identify it's exact age? &
2) What would you do about the minute register? Should I go back to the auction house? Also the sales photo shoes the minute reg in the same position -- so I probably should have spotted it-- and or how can i reset myself or should I get a watch repairer to look and service it?

All advise gratefully received.

Cheers
Andy
