Thanks for replying, and telling me a little more about this model. Yes overall its great condition. I know on certain modern watches there is a technique to reset - I managed to do this a SEIKO MEN'S AEROSPACE PILOT SLIDE RULE CHRONOGRAPH WATCH but that was a quartz!

Any ideas how best to find someone to service that won't charge the earth but of course do it properly! I live in the UK. I wonder how to go about finding someone?
