OK, I talked to the watch lady, and she gave me the usual "protect the source" garbage (is there a grey market brotherhood that makes them all memorize this by rote?) But, she told me that not all of their watches have removed serial numbers (probably just the ones that go to Sam's Club and Costco... where this is most likely to escape notice). She offered to take the watch back, and send me a new one with it's identification intact. I've taken her up on it, and sent it out by UPS this afternoon. They even paid for the overnight shipping (about $35). I don't like being without the watch, and feel quite naked, and am missing it terribly, but I believe that it's all for the best. I didn't want to part with it, but was pursuaded by the overwhelming amount of advice by the folks in this forum (and the article that mentions possibly complicity to purchase of stolen goods, also on this site). I realize that this thread is totally forgotten, but I'll still keep contributing to it, just in case. Thanks folks!
