For the answer to the NUMBER #1 most frequently asked question here--for details or value of a specific older Omega watch you have--go to: Tell Me About My Omega. | Learn more about How To Include Photos and HTML In Your Postings. | To contact someone with a question not relevant to other readers of the forum, please click on their email address and contact them privately. |
: Make sure you order a buckle based on the width of the BUCKLE
: END of the strap, not the watch end! Straps usually taper
: so they are not as wide all the way down their length. So a
: strap that is 18mm or 20mm where it meets the watch is
: often only 16mm at the buckle end.
: Ordering something as a replacement part for something else
: gets confusing and unreliable. Try going to a USED watch
: dealer. One of my local ones occasionally gets Omega
: buckles.
: A real Omega buckle is about the same as any buckle -- except
: for the logo. So unless that specific Speedmaster comes
: with a particularly unusual buckle, whatever buckle comes
: on the strap you are buying probably will be about equal in
: quality.
: The springbars in your bracelet should work with the strap
: just fine.
