I am much more of a preservationist than a restorationist. My dial was in pretty rough shape. I did NOT want to re-dial at first but it was beyond looking 'old.' There was water damage to the dial so the discoloration wasn't even. I've got a couple of early to mid '60's Rotary watches, which being a Brit, I'm sure you're familiar with, and I wouldn't touch them. In fact, one of the Rotary's is my favorite watch of all! Not my Speedy or SMP or anything else. Know how much I paid for it? $2.00 Canadian at a garage sale!!
