misty SMP

dear all,
i work in a pub and am in charge of the cellar and all the beer within. sometimes a keg will run out, and i too have to run out to change it. almost without thinking i first take off my SMP and set it down somewhere out of sight. two days ago, having changed the barrel, i could see that an icecube had come to rest against the crystal of my SMP and the inside of the watch was misty. i know that there is water in air, and that my watch has air inside it but it did seem to be a little excessive. i phoned my jeweller and they said that this is quite normal and is nothing to get worried about. I said that i wanted them to guarantee there and then, and in writing that this moisture would in no way affect the luminova, the mechanicals or the red pointy tip on the second hand and their next response was that i should take it to them to have it checked. anyone got any experience with this? my watch was recently sent off to have a microspeck of fluff removed from inside the crystal, could they have buggered up?
regards
RLA
