Another simple case of a "jeweller" not knowing what he's doing. It is very unlikely that the watch was defective originally, and the "jeweller" lost the pieces while butchering the sizing job. It happens more often than not it seems, when given to a jewellery store to do the work rather than a competent watchmaker. Take the watch to a watchmaker near you who "knows" what they're doing! Phone around to watchmakers in your area who sell and specialize in upper-end watches, and ASK them if they know what they're doing! If so, take it to them. You're SOL on the dufus who tried it in the first place, unless you complain to management there about the butcher job once you get it fixed right. Show them the sales slip from the proper repair job, indicating that the first job was incompetent. They may re-imburse you. that is about your only option.
