i think not - generally i dont bust a seal unless theres a problem - but w/regard to 'swimmers' they go in for 'the works' every 2 yrs, cause they all get water time and just about same wear time. i sure dont need to worry about a battery dropping dead while im on dive with my autos, at a hundred feet down its not cool...
