Here's the deal...I'm working on getting the auto Bond SMP for my 10 year anniversary a year from now. I'll make sure my wife gets it at an authorized dealer.
But I can't wait that long to scratch the Omega itch and I'm on a budget. I'd love to snag a "new model" black/black quartz on a strap to tide me over. I'm thinking of getting it gray market, (I've seen it for $700-$800). The way I figure it, the places of sale will give a 2 year warranty, and what are the chances of anything being wrong with it anyway? Would you go this route to get the best of both worlds? Also, my wife doesn't need to know about the quartz, she knows nothing about watches and for all she'll know it's a knock off dive watch I picked up in the city (we have a good relationship, this is the worst of my indiscretions).
