: For those who missed it, I deleted two messages that were
: posted entirely for the purpose of trying to sell fake
: Omegas. /
: Apparently these vendors of cheap wares think we can be easily
: fooled by staged messages from seemingly different posters.
: Interestingly, both messages were posted from AOL dialup
: locations.
: Too bad we are smart enough to see right through their obvious
: shilling of their illegal, counterfeit products.
: But you gotta love the gall of asking which photos in the
: zOwie Rogues Gallery are related to which vendor's fake
: watches. They seemed to miss the point that these watches
: are in the Rogues Gallery to show off what cheap crap they
: are!
: As Mike and others have pointed out to me, eBay is being
: FLOODED by fakes. Including such outlandish combinations as
: a VIOLET dialed Bond Seamaster (must be the Austin Powers
: edition -- Groovy Baby!). Even worse, many sellers are now
: using photos of REAL Seamasters when they are obviously
: selling fakes.
: So it is buyer beware now more than ever! What and wherever
: you buy, make sure you know exactly what you are getting.
: If you have ANY doubts, walk away from the deal.
: If you want a cheap fake, so be it, but you won't find help
: here. The zOwie Omega Forum is for real people who want the
: real thing.
