Re: Seamaster Pro -Accuracy

Owning a quartz watch is like owning a toaster, while owning an auto is like owning a pet...that's the best way I can describe it..

: i'm interested in buying an omega automatic.
: had a rolex and the "official"
: rolex watch repair guy said i would have to
: measure the difference then bring it in for
: adjustment. it kept lousy time by any
: standard. now i have a raymond weil parsifal
: and i never have to set it, until the
: battery wears out and it's been going strong
: for 5 years, which it isn 't supposed to do.
: it keeps incredibly accurate time for months
: at a time, losing only about 15 seconds in 3
: months . . . pretty good.

: so why would i buy a mechanical watch if it
: costs more and can't keep time as well? I
: WANT TO KNOW WHY? although i do like fine
: machines and find them appealling,
: especially watches
