It doesn't matter if it 'would last forever or not'. Rolex is just that, name only. Nowadays most high end watches are equal in quality. What you mainly pay for is the jewlry type finish. I also think the price factor is 3:1. I don't believe one Rolex will out last one let alone 3 Omegas.
