Ok, I've simmered down. What's done, is done. We'll never know why. It's just too sad.

To Derek's family--I'm truly sorry and I hope that you get a chance to read Derek's work on his website. My good friend who died last year was an avid contributor to a forum on the Web (Audio Visual stuff), and he developed quite a following. His family was warmed by reading the website and seeing all of the letters of condolences from the members. Perhaps you will find some solace in reading here... There is also an "electronic guest book" on the web for people to write about those who have passed on. If you're interested, I'll post a link here.

I didn't post much here, but I read a lot. Derek replied to a couple of my postings. He was eager to help an Omega watch fan newbie, as always. In some ways, I feel like my Omega collection will mean a little something more to me.
