I just purchased a (2598.80) Seamaster Prof.
Chronograph. I love the watch...however
there is one thing that bothers me. The bezeled "V" (12 o'clock) does not
line up with the 12 on the face . In fact I have noticed that as I rotate the bezel around the face it appears that the "V" continues to missalign until reching the face 10 and 9 (the bezel 30 is now misalligned) where the "V" alligns before going back out of allignment at the face 8 etc. This varying allignment and then misallignment causes me to wonder whether the problem lies with the face as the "clicks" and bezel should be uniform. (Could the face be intentionally non-uniform? Does anyone else notice this on their watch?) Perhaps this is compulsive on my part but still it bothers me. I am a pilot and also a SCUBA
:instructor and I guess I am use to precision
:in my instruments.
: Is this something that can be corrected? The
: store I bought it at (an authorized dealer)
: said to bring it in and they would check it,
: but I suspect I will get a raised eyebrow
: response and a "nothing is
: perfect" comment.
: I'd appreciate your insight!
: Thank You.
