Are you sure that it's not the winding rotor noise?
If it's the rotor, then it's perfectly normal.
: I purchased this watch new from my AD about 2
: months ago. My first mechanical watch. Wear
: it proudly every day and it keeps very
: accurate time.
: Decided not to wear it for a day. Took it out
: of the box, still keeping accurate time,
: decide to give it a wind, to top up the
: power reserve and all that. I hold the watch
: to my ear and hear a clunking noise, give
: the watch a little mild shake, the noise is
: still present. All this prior to winding.
: I'm aware of the overwind protection system,
: and this definitely is not it. Almost as
: though something has come loose internally.
: Still keeps accurate time though. This watch
: is pampered.
: Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'll
: be taking it to my AD in the next couple of
: days or so. Would love to hear from you guys
: prior to going in and seeing him, appreciate
: any input you guys may have.
: Thanks, and this is an awesome forum!!
