Thank you for contacting me re my Omega.
Referencing the date tables, I figure mine is dated around 1898-1901.
From what I understand, Omega started production in 1895 or thereabouts and the first watches were numbered from 1,000,000. I cannot find anywhere information or a statement on whether they marked the movements with an Omega in these early years of production.
Unfortunately the gold plated case is severely worn and I would like to change it if I could find a similar one on eBay.
I have a current problem with the hand setting. I cannot adjust the hands to set the time as I cannot pull the winding pin out when the watch is assembled. When I disassemble the watch and have access to the screw on the set lever, I can adjust it perfectly and it works smoothly, but when I return the movement to the case and replace the dial I no longer have access to the screw. I just have to keep trying to get the screw into exactly the right position.
I will look at the websites you recommend.
