I recently purchased a Seamaster Professional Chronometer Chronograph 2598.80. It is a beautiful watch, however, I am having problems.
I bought the watch from an authorized dealer. They have been very nice and helpful however I need your advice.
When I first purchased the watch I noticed the bezel did not line up properly so, after waiting 3 weeks for another one to arrive, I was able to exchange it.
The second watch's bezel was also off, but not nearly as much as the first one so I accepted it and left.
Upon arriving home I discovered that the clasp pins stayed stuck in so that the clasp would not stay shut. I also soon discovered that the date changes at 12:50 and not at 12:00 as it should.
These three things: the bezel, the clasp, and the date change are very bothersome. What would you suggest I do? Try and exchange the watch again and take the risk on yet further problems or should I send this brand NEW watch in for repairs?!?
I am also concerned that this watch which seems to keep pretty good time (+2 seconds/day) might be exchanged for a watch that is more off (I have talked with quite a few owners of the same watch whose watch is slow by 2-6 seconds).
Thank You...I look forward to your response.
