Please note that while both the Mark IV and the Speedmaster 125 were introduced in 1973, onlt the 125 sported the c.1041 movement. In fact, the Speedmaster 125 was the only model to use the c.1041 movement. and why the does the movement number begin with an "R" instead of the usual Omega format? Replacement Movement? That I don't know, but your theory seems to be a reasonable and logical one. I would inquire with Omega Vintage Information for clarification. Here's the watch: Looks a little on the polished side, but no more than mine (f And a couple of pics of the movement: Yeow! I have a 23" Apple Cinema Display and it screams "No Mas!" to a 2800+ pixel scan. Seriously, anthing more than about 1000 pixels wide is overkill on forums. Try to crop anything larger. |
