I have owned my SMP for just over 2yrs and it only ever leaves my wrist once a week when I play football. Other than that it stays on.....whatever!
Previous to this watch I owned an Accurist chronograph for nearly 10yrs. It didnt have a screw down crown or a screw down case back, its depth rating was 50M and it cost about £100. I wore this watch continuosly, whether on the beach, in the sea, in the shower, whilst swimming and I never had a problem with it once. If a £100 Accurist can stand up to that over the best part of a decade, I would be SERIOUSLY angry if my 300M Profession diving watch couldnt handle it!!!
